Circus artist, ceramicist, artistic director, and cultural producer.
Pauline Zoé is a Belgian artist based in Salvador, Bahia and in Barcelona, Spain.
She has built a vibrant and multifaceted career. Trained in Spain, Pauline is dedicated to presenting her shows (ESFERA, POR ACASO and NOA) in theatres and festivals, as well as to artistic production, ceramics, and the direction and management of the cultural center “Espaço Núcleo de Circo” and the festival CIRCO EN MOVIMENTO, while maintaining an intense routine of training and performances in Brazil and abroad.
With more than a decade of experience, Pauline has presented her shows and performances in various countries, on the streets and in theatres. Her work “ESFERA” has been featured in renowned circus and street arts festivals in Europe and Brazil. In Bahia and throughout Brazil, she has captivated audiences in SESC theatres with “ESFERA” and “POR ACASO”, and more recently with “NOA”.
In addition to being performer and artistic director of the contemporary circus company Cia Circonstance, Pauline plays a central role in Salvador’s cultural scene. She has been director and co-curator of the International Street Artists Festival of Bahia, among other projects. She is the creator and coordinator of Núcleo de Circo, a space dedicated to circus training, performances, practice and creation in the city of Salvador. She also created the festival CIRCO EN MOVIMENTO.
Graduated in Translation and Interpreting from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, trained in Performing Arts at UFMG and in circus arts at the Central del Circo de Barcelona, Pauline also works in cultural management, developing projects, producing events and establishing international collaborations.
She is fluent in Portuguese, French, English and Spanish.
